HAWTHORNE SCHOOL OF DANCE is the natural progression from Windsor's popular pre-school dance classes BLOSSOM BALLET
HSOD welcomes dancers from age 4 for classes in ISTD BALLET, TAP & MODERN complimented by Ballet Conditioning and Contemporary classes.
As well as nurturing HAPPY, HEALTHY dancers who enjoy weekly term time classes with their friends and families, we also offer regular opportunities to take part in local PERFORMANCES and ISTD exams.

CLASSES
ISTD BALLET
From Pre-Primary to Advanced level our ballet classes develop confidence, musicality and discipline.
ISTD MODERN
Modern Theatre dance is a fun and energetic rhythmic dance style using leaps, turns, kicks and travelling steps.
ISTD TAP
Tap dance is a theatrical art form seen on the stages of many musicals. Dancers beat the floor to create distinctive sounds and interesting rhythms.
Lucy Hawthorne (BA Hons DDE ISTD), the school's principle, is a highly experienced and enthusiastic dance practitioner. Since graduating from the London Studio Centre, Lucy's extensive teaching credits include delivering workshops at The English National Ballet, teaching Street Dance on behalf of London Youth Dance and being appointed as an Associate Dance Artist for Sadlers Wells .

Emily Headland (DDE ISTD) teaches Modern, Tap and junior Ballet at HSOD as well running her own dance school in Amersham. Before teaching, Emily performed in my many local productions and now enjoys sharing her performance skills with our aspiring dancers.
Alice Spencer (DDI ISTD), inspired by her Grandmother who danced with the Royal Ballet, teaches junior and senior Ballet at HSOD as well as teaching cheer leading and contemporary at local schools. Since graduating from Italia Conti, Alice has won many dance competitions including the UDO World Street Dance Competition and has represented Great Britain in the Cheerleading World Championships in Florida.
